Wexus Technologies, Inc., a resident of the Western Growers Center for Innovation and Technology, led a well-attended Tech Talk® webinar on Tuesday, September 27 at 4PM (PST) to discuss the Water-Energy Nexus, the Energy Cloud, and how to make your business more competitive, profitable & valuable by closely tracking irrigation-energy usage and costs across your farm.
Attendees were given a crash course in "Energy 101" fundamentals including the distinct differences between energy versus power, utility rates and schedules, and how time of use rates are actually charged on a customer's energy bill. The Wexus team then showed real world examples of how utility costs can affect farming irrigation operations, and what steps farmers can take to monitor and control their energy costs.
